The latest 2025 NFL draft odds list Miami’s Cam Ward as a heavy favorite to be the first overall pick. Tennessee currently has the first pick, and the Titans need a quarterback. Ward is the top QB prospect in a weak class.

Surprises happen in the draft, and the Titans could trade the pick to another franchise. Keep reading to see the latest NFL draft odds for the top overall picks, which teams are drafting first, and more ways to wager on this year’s draft at the best football betting sites.

Latest 2025 NFL Draft Odds

The 2025 NFL draft is the next opportunity for fans to wager on football. Here are three of the easiest ways to bet on the 2025 draft.

2025 First Overall Pick Odds

See the table below for the current 2025 NFL draft odds for the first overall pick, courtesy of BetUS.

Player1st Pick OddsPositionSchool
Cam Ward-2000QuarterbackMiami
Abdul Carter+800Defensive EndPenn State
Travis Hunter+2200Cornerback/Wide ReceiverColorado
Shedeur Sanders+3500QuarterbackColorado

Cam Ward has the best draft odds at secure sportsbooks to be the first overall pick. Miami’s QB is listed at -2000 to be selected first.

Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter have the next best odds at +800 and +2200, respectively. Shedeur Sanders rounds out the top four at +3500.

After Sanders, three players are tied for the fifth-best NFL draft odds to be the first overall pick. QB Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss), WR Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona), and RB Ashton Jeanty (Boise State) are all listed at +10000 in this market.

Who Will Be Drafted Second Overall?

Over 250 players will be picked over the seven rounds of the upcoming draft, and you can wager on every selection. Ward is the favorite to go first, but there is plenty of intrigue regarding who Cleveland will select with the second pick.

Here are the updated NFL betting odds for the second overall pick.

Player2nd Pick OddsPositionSchool
Abdul Carter-275Defensive EndPenn State
Travis Hunter+200Cornerback/Wide ReceiverColorado
Shedeur Sanders+500QuarterbackColorado
Cam Ward+1800QuarterbackMiami
Jaxson Dart+2800QuarterbackOle Miss

The Browns currently have the number two overall pick, and Deshaun Watson is likely to miss the entire season after he retore his Achilles this offseason. Despite those facts, Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter has the best odds of being picked second overall.

Carter is followed by Travis Hunter, who is listed at +200. Shedeur Sanders has the shortest odds of any quarterback, and the third-best odds overall, at +500.

When Will Shedeur Sanders Be Drafted?

  • Over 8.5 (-115)
  • Under 8.5 (-115)

Speaking of Shedeur Sanders, BetUS also offers an over/under style bet for the Colorado quarterback’s draft position. He is currently listed at over/under 8.5.

As mentioned above, Cleveland could use a new starting quarterback on a relatively inexpensive contract. The New York Giants could also use a rookie quarterback in their first full season of the post-Daniel Jones era.

All signs were pointing at Sanders going to the Giants before New York signed Russell Wilson. With Wilson under center for the G-Men, New York could decide to punt their quarterback issue until next season in hopes of drafting Arch Manning.

Sanders could be one of the first names off the board if two of the top three teams decide to take a quarterback early. However, if he falls past the Giants at number three, Shedeur could fall outside the top 10.

Odds for Which Team Will Pick First in the 2025 NFL Draft

  • Tennessee Titans (-380)
  • New York Giants (+250)
  • New York Jets (+800)
  • Cleveland Browns (+2500)
  • New England Patriots (+3000)

Tennessee earned the right to the top overall pick thanks to its 3-14 record. So, it should come as no surprise that the Titans have the best odds to select the number one draft pick of any NFL team.

Secure sportsbooks have Tennessee listed at -380 in the bet. The Titans are followed by the Giants (+250), the Jets (+800), and the Browns (+2500).

Who Can Trade For the Number One Pick?

The Titans have the best NFL draft order odds to make the first overall pick, but with such a weak quarterback class, Tennessee could still try to trade out. If Tennessee does try to trade the first overall pick, I think the Giants make the most sense to trade up.

New York has the third pick, and the two teams ahead of them could take the only two first-round quarterback prospects in the draft. Jumping from three to one would also be relatively cheap.

If a team behind New York trades up, it could significantly shake up the draft board, especially if they take Carter or Hunter instead of a quarterback.

Number One Draft Pick Odds – Top Contenders

Here is a closer look at the top prospects in the updated number one draft pick NFL odds.

Cam Ward (-2000)

Ward is a heavy favorite to go first overall at -2000 in the updated NFL draft pick odds. The Miami quarterback has plenty of question marks as a prospect, but this year’s QB class is much weaker than last year’s.

The good news for Ward is that plenty of teams need a new signal caller, including the three teams at the top of the draft board. Tennessee tried to make the Will Levis experiment work, but the former second-round pick is a better mayonnaise spokesperson than a quarterback.

Ward would help the Titans hit the rest button on the most important position in the NFL. Tennessee has met with Ward multiple times this offseason as part of their draft preparation.  The Titans did nothing to address the position in free agency, adding to the speculation that they will take a quarterback.

Abdul Carter (+800)

Quarterbacks have dominated the first overall pick in recent years, but this year’s relatively weak class could open the door for a non-QB to be picked first. Penn State’s Abdul Carter has the best odds of any non-QB to be drafted first overall at +800.

Carter is the best edge rusher prospect, but he has missed most of the pre-draft process with injuries. The Nittany Lion has dealt with a stress fracture in his foot and a shoulder injury in recent months.

On the bright side, Carter’s injuries are not expected to linger into next season. However, they could hurt his draft stock enough to prevent him from going first overall.

Travis Hunter (+2200)

Speaking of great prospects, Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter is listed at 22-1 odds to be the first overall pick. Hunter is arguably the best cornerback and wide receiver prospect in the draft.

However, as important as those positions can be, they are generally not as important as quarterback or edge rusher. Hunter’s first-overall pick odds have taken a huge hit in recent weeks because of Carter’s and Ward’s rising stock.

Shedeur Sanders (+3500)

Rounding out the top candidates to be the first overall pick is Shedeur Sanders at 35-1 odds. Sanders lacks the physical traits of Cam Ward, but he has all the mental skills a passer needs to succeed in the NFL.

In theory, Sanders had a chance to solidify himself as the top overall pick. However, he has largely skipped major parts of the pre-draft process, including not throwing at the combine. As a result, it is unlikely that he is drafted first if the Titans hold the pick.

Final Predictions – Who Goes No. 1 in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Football fans have less than a month to take advantage of the 2025 NFL draft odds. Cam Ward is the betting favorite to go first and overall, and I think Tennessee will take the former Miami quarterback. Ward could solve the Titans’ quarterback problem, and there is no guarantee that Tennessee will have a top-three pick again next year.
