Cake Poker Review

Cake Poker is one of the best online poker rooms on the internet but it is also one of the most underrated. The online poker room is one of the few sites that has its own poker network that it operates on. Cake Poker is the flagship room on the Cake Poker Network and several other poker rooms are located on the Network such as PowerPoker and PlayersOnly.

The Cake Poker Network has become quite popular over the past year as several other poker rooms have also switched from their existing networks over to Cake. The software used at Cake Poker is very high-end and they have a good selection of games for players to enjoy. However, Cake Poker does not have the higher caliber players you would expect at PokerStars or Full Tilt – which is definitely a GOOD thing when it comes to your bankroll.

Cake Poker is ranked in the top ten poker networks in the world and because of these they have a strong player base and it continues to grow. As their player base grows, so does the online poker room. Cake Poker is now offering large guaranteed tournaments each week that they have offered in the past.

Their Rewards program gives players an added incentive to play here, providing a loyalty system that offers six tiers of elite status as well as three separate frequent player point style rewards which are Gold Chips, Gold Stacks and Gold Cards.

Cake Poker Bonus

Cake Poker has a nice first deposit bonus for their players and they throw in an extra deal to go along with the bonus, a ticket to a weekly freeroll. New players to Cake Poker can take advantage of a 110% deposit bonus up to $600 and they will also receive a ticket to the New Depositor $500 freeroll. Players must earn Frequent Player Points to clear the bonus. Players will be paid in $10 increments for every 166.67 FPPS, which is six cents per FPP.

Note: Cake Poker also offers players Reload Bonuses from time to time on top of their standard signup bonuses for new players.

Cake Poker Competition Level

Cake Poker is known for their soft competition. The player base seems to be very inexperienced or just a loose player so the experienced could really do some damage. At the lower limit tables most of the players tend to play loosely. At the higher stake tables the skill level is increased but play seems to still be weak compared to larger poker rooms for the same stake level.

Cake Poker Rewards Program

Poker players looking for a sweet rewards program should look no further than Cake Poker. The online poker room rewards players through their loyalty program with Gold Chips, Gold Cards and Gold Stacks based on the amount of frequent players points a player generates.

Gold Cards are earned by players who participate in real money ring games. Each time a table reaches a per determined rake amount a Gold Card will be released. Gold Cards can offers players an instant value or they can be gathered to use for larger items.

Gold Chips are earned when players gather frequent player points. Players who participate in real money ring games and tournament tables will earn Gold Chips. The Chips can be used to create Gold Stacks as well as cash, more Gold Chips, seats to qualifiers and tournaments as well as to purchase Cake merchandise, electronics and more.

Gold Stacks are created by earning Gold Chips. Each time you earn Gold Chips you will start creating a Gold Stack. Every time a Stack is created a player will get a reward. The more stacks you have or the quicker you build a stack will determine the reward you earn. So as you can see Cake Poker offers players a good size loyalty program which is easy to understand and participate in.

Cake Poker Software

Cake Poker’s software offers poker players the standard features of an online poker room with hand histories, a four color deck, auto-rebuy, and seat selection and player notes. The software has two basic table set-ups. One is straight forward with a simple top-down table while the other offers players a more realistic table and lifelike avatars.

Unfortunately Cake Poker does not accept Mac or Linux users but they do have an option for those who own these systems. Players can get PC compatible software that can be used to enjoy the games.

Cake Poker Games Offered

Cake Poker has a small selection of game offerings especially if compared to larger poker rooms such as PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. Cake Poker offers Omaha, Texas Hold’em, Limit Texas Hold’em and Omaha Hi/Lo.

The limits on games range from just two cents to $1,000. No Limit Ring stakes start at two cents/four cents and continue up to $500/$1,000. Limit Ring Stakes range from four cents/eight cents to $100/$200. Sit and Go Stakes range from $1 plus ten cents to $300 plus $12.

Cake Poker Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

Cake Poker has a large selection of deposit and withdrawal methods most of which have a minimum of $25 for either a deposit or withdrawal. Not all methods can be used as both a deposit and withdrawal so players will need to check with Cake Poker before they commit to a method. The methods available at Cake Poker are:
